Business Development Manager to join a successful,
growing business in the telecommunications sector.
You will play a key role in our national sales and
business development team, building on our
reputation for excellence, to identify new
opportunities and consolidate existing relationships
to deliver business growth in a fast-paced
technology environment.
With experience of high value tendering,
ideally to both the Private and Public Sector, you
are looking for a next step in your career with
significant potential.

The Role:
Champion the sales and business development
activity, identifying new opportunities and
pro-actively managing the key relationships with
existing customers to achieve the growth targets
agreed.
Bid and tender preparation for the provision of
installation, commissioning, project management and
maintenance services to the Public and Private
Sector.
Manage specific business development programmes
targeted at the opportunities raised by industry,
government or local authority initiatives (e.g.
Digital Britain).
Present at and organise exhibitions, shows and
seminars.
Manage the development of the sales and
business development capability for the business
through recruitment, training, coaching and
performance management.
Work with the engineering installation and
project management teams to develop appropriate
solutions to meet customer needs.
The Successful candiate will have:
A good understanding of the telecommunications,
or similar, sector and proven success in a
competitive technical sales role.
The potential, drive and ambition to develop
your career in a commercial and fast-paced
environment.
Significant experience of
selling into the Private and Public sector ideally
including local government/social and private
housing market.
Experience of generating new business and new
account development, with long consultative sales
cycles.
Skilled at growing business networks, holding
respect of peers, clients and competitors alike.
Sales team leadership and/or line management.
The capability to build effective teams and motivate
them to achieve excellence.
Passionate, professional, personable, motivated and
dedicated.
